The first thing I can say about Style Blender is, why didn’t anyone think of this sooner! We all have things in our closet that we just don’t like anymore, no matter how fabulous it may be. Instead of trying to sell it for pennies, why not swap it for something else that’s equally amazing! It’s LA’s biggest communal trading closet for designer fashion. How does it work? For just $30 a month, members can bring in their own items to trade in for points, which can be redeemed for items in inventory. Points will be based on the items’ original retail value. But don’t think that you can pull a fast one by taking in old items. Style Blender is only interested in items that are in excellent condition….thank goodness! The last thing I want is to see some raggedy old clothes.
Congratulations to the founding team, Nony Tochterman (Petro Zillia founder & designer), Ravid Levy (Trina Turk, Sass & Bide & Jeremy Scott sales representative) and Brooke Wilen (Bad Joan founder & designer). Visit Style Blender at 8230 Beverly Blvd., Suite 30.
Hours of Operation: Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours will be extended as more members sign up. (Apparel News)
